Universal Prayers for Healing from Mass Shootings  (posted  2-15-23)

• For all of God’s holy Church, may the Lord look graciously upon our every need, and grant us the peace that surpasses all understanding, let us pray to the Lord.
• For civil leaders, may the Holy Spirit offer wisdom and inspire them as they seek ways to eliminate senseless violence in our communities, let us pray to the Lord.
• For those injured in the shooting at Michigan State University and in other acts of violence, may God guide the hands of the doctors and caregivers in bringing them comfort and healing, let us pray to the Lord.
• For people throughout the world who live with the reality of crime, trauma, and barbarous actions, may the Lord offer them safety, strength, and consolation, let us pray to the Lord.
• For the souls of the young adults who were killed at Michigan State, and for all the faithful departed, may they rest in eternal peace, let us pray to the Lord.
